   I’ll never forget the day when I took my ex-brother-in-law swimming down at Edwards Crossing and we saw a beer bottle bobbing along the bottom of the river. My BIL dove down and brought it to the surface like a conquering hero, to the thumbs-up of all on the shore, smiled, then turned and threw it up on the rocks of the opposite bank, shattering glass everywhere.

   A well-meaning, but very disappointing city boy.
