   When I first moved up here I could immediately tell who were also new arrivals: they had white carpets. The older residents had brick-colored floor coverings.

   When we were little our mom finally gave up trying to keep our T-shirts white. We had a orange set all the time.

   Terry Southern wrote a great short story called Red Dirt Marijuana which I read when I was a wee lad of but 12. It was a wonderful tale and that’s all I’m sayin’.
