   The great thing about two candidates from the same party running against each other is that one of them is forced to lie to the opposing party to get their votes, and we all know how difficult it is for politicians to lie. Either one conservative has to act more moderate, or one liberal has to act more conservative.

   It actually changes nothing: neither party represents us when they get to Washington anyway. (Not if they want the money to get reelected.)

   Top two ensures a 3rd party candidate can’t be on the November ballot, confusing the voters who are there to choose between Tweedledum and Tweedledumber.

   Top Two Primary is an anti democratic primary system. What the state of Washington top two primaries have proven is those who spend the most money, win. It went from the low 90% to the mid 90% on who spends the most money wins. Basically top two eliminates candidates from political parties that don’t have the ability to raise huge sums of money from the general election. Thus making their impact on the elections non existent. More proof our government is for sale since the two political parties who control it represent a small few with the big bucks while leaving the rest of us out in the cold.

   Top-two primary might be bad for small-party candidates
   It may be too soon to tell, but already, far fewer third-party candidates have been able to qualify for the general election ballot.
