And now, the rumors behind the news

Us baby boomers tend to have a hearing deficiency, due to years of listening to Jimi Hendrix albums full blast. Likewise, we are extremely susceptible to conspiracy theories, as I noted in the last post. There are many conspiracies floating around the blogosphere passing for real news. I won’t mention any names.

Big light in sky slated to appear in East. Sonic booms scare minority groups in Sector B. And there’s still hamburger all over the highway in Mystic, Connecticut.

Yes Bob, and there is even some “news” passing as news and I think THAT conspiracy is coming from the main stream media.

Bob, just wondering about the inner secrets of It Takes a Village Idiot, if you can remember back as far as MMV… was “The dam broke at Scott’s Flat” your first target, or did you try a few? I assume you worked backwards from the punch line…

Actually, I did a similar cartoon years before, either for the NC Independent or NC News. I used Scott’s Flat then too, but the other lines may have been different. I don’t have the original due to too many moves during those years. As you can see, the theme is pretty much timeless, and fits in today as well as it did way back when. This is true of many of the reprinted cartoons I’ve been using on the blog.

Is that Henry Hackett I see in this cartoon messing things up? RL you better be more careful with not only your computer passwords, but also you ink pens!

  5. Judith Lowry says:

Who was it that said, “Just because you’re paranoid, it doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.”?
