   Not exactly a style I recall from you before, Bob. It’s been a long time since I’ve perused my stack of old comix (’94 is nearly two decades older than anything there) and I’m not sure who you might have been channeling (Gilbert Sheldon, maybe?)… can you put a finger on your inspiration?

   I don’t recall that I was channeling any particular artist when I did this piece. I was just thinking about something that would stand out. I think I accomplished that. (Incidentally, the color was rendered by Art Penn, brother of publisher Michael Dowers.)
