Baby, It’s Cold Outside

“Cold” is a relative term. Cold in California is a heatwave to someone in Montana. I don’t care. I’m COLD, dammit!

  1. I feel your pain, brother.

I didn’t realize how much I disliked cold weather until we moved up here 20 years ago. I have since acquired a “winter” wardrobe, something I never needed in the moderate climate of the Bay Area.

Easterners call Californians weather wimps, but I think they’re envious and won’t admit it. I have a brother-in-law who was born and raised in Rhode Island and lived in the Boston area until a company transfer brought him to California. When I asked him several years ago why he never went back East, he said: “I got tired of shoveling 11 inches of partly cloudy.”

May you have a warm and enjoyable Christmas.
