When the Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce announced their support of an “open the economy” rally at the parking lot of city hall, the response ended up being more of a protest against the rally than the government imposed restrictions. Two county supervisors backed out, but Congressman “All Hat” LaMalfa did show up for the crowd of about 100 people.
The parking lot is usually reserved for less controversial events, like the annual St. Piran’s Day celebration of our Cornish heritage.
