Altered States

There are some people who live out on the very fringes of the left and the right. They’ve constructed an alternate universe where everything is black and white with no shades of grey. It’s a harsh place, where conspiracies are the norm and anyone who can’t see their “truth” is the enemy. It is the realm of absolutes. Rod Serling would feel right at home…

Our local right wingers say there is no such animal as the “alt-right”. It’s another case of my “one-eye-blind” theory. They just don’t want to see it. It’s not much different with the radical left…

  2. Chris Peterson says:

The alt-right hates people who are different.

The alt-left hates those who appear the same.

I’m alt-middle; I think anyone who is more radical than me is a threat to my complacency.

I’m not so much worried about extreme fringe groups, the FBI does a good job keeping tabs on these creeps. I’m much more worried about our president with malignant narcissism, early onset Alzheimer’s, and various other psychopathologies. I am most concerned that apparently 20% of the US population thinks his behavior is not a concern. Crazy leaders do not destroy countries, it is the minority populations who indulge their group psychosis that create all the death and destruction.

If the damn fake news media would just stop pickin’ on Trump, they could be winning pulitzers exposing these kind of travesties…

The human brain has difficulty adapting to change. As the rate of change accelerates you will see more of this nonsense. There is always a correcting mechanism when nations go collectively mad, and ours is coming. It will be one fine show. Enjoy the chaos from afar and stay safe my friends.
