   The Nineteen Fifty comment-
   Funny that conservatives of 2014 think the 1950’s are the time we need to get back to since everything they profess of objecting to was the law of the land.

   – Top Marginal Tax Rate 91%
   – Highest Unionized Workforce in US history
   – Import/ Export Tariffs that protected US industries
   – New Deal policies in full force
   – Public Infrastructure projects that were equivalent to trillions of dollars today
   – Basically government subsidized higher education and strong GI Bill
   – Organic agriculture and ranching practices
   – No single use plastic bags at grocery stores

   So tell me again how this era was created and why now it is considered a conservative dream of returning?

     Don’t bother Ben; and you know why.

     I have no doubt in my mind that if not for gerrymandering, voter suppression, and unlimited corporate money in elections, the republicans would have less than 100 members in all of Congress. They now have two years to tear down our society for the enrichment of the few who bought them their positions, at which time they will be once again slapped to the curb in a national election.
     And, not the 50’s: neocons want to return to the time when only white land owners could vote.

     Although I’m an independent, it is none-the-less true: D for drive, R for reverse.
