When Mary Ann & I were on our honeymoon in 2005, we’d get up every morning and drive down to the warm pond to mingle with the fishes in the soothing volcanic water. Now I hear that it (and the school and park next to it) have become the latest victims of Kilauea’s relentless river of lava.
Aloha. We will always remember our time there.
One of my favorite places ever just a few miles from here at the Waiʻōpae Tidepools is gone as well. It was beautiful while it lasted for the last 3000 years.
