Today we hoisted one final round for the late Gary Rogers at McGee’s Annex. Gary and his brother Allan owned and operated Rogers’ Frame Shop in Nevada City since the nineteen sixties. Gary eventually left the business and became an art dealer and a regular at McGee’s. There were many familiar faces at the packed bar today, a fine tribute to a fallen friend. We’ll miss you, buddy.
Gary commissioned this postcard from artist Darrell Forney in 1975. It’s still the best one in town.
