I hope people realize how different our lives are about to become. Unless those Russian generals and oligarchs do something to remove Vlad the Invader, the next few months are going to see massive increases in the cost of everything. Driving to the grocery store will become cost prohibitive, and that’s before you even get through the door.
Putin may be crazy, but he holds some very powerful cards. As the economies of Europe and America become strangled by inflation and energy costs, it will be difficult to hold the coalition together. The Democrats are going to be under pressure to expedite oil and natural gas production, much to the dismay of progressives. It will be a moot point if Republicans return to power.
The Ukrainian people are making the ultimate sacrifice. It will be up to the rest of the world to make sure it isn’t all in vain.
