   When I was a little guy a friend and I were walking along the Colfax Highway and came across a squished little critter. We were in the throes of Davy Crockett and we though, hey! Let’s get that tail and make a cap. Well, it took a long time to remove the tail with our dull pocket knives but we did. We took it to my house and as soon as my mom saw it she screamed and pushed us out the door and told us to get rid of it. She thhought the tail had fleas I guess. So no cap.

     Yeah, my Dad was always more supportive of my bringing home a little tail than my Mom was.
