One Toke Over The 50 Yard Line

Nice observation, I forgot it will be the battle over the legalized marijuana states.
My prediction is that Denver Bongers win with series after series of quick one hitters to all of their talented receivers. Seattle just won’t be able to get the joint rollin’ like they do at home.
No doubt that Seattle is the lesser team, but they were the lesser team in their last game, and yet…
barry punderful!
Start time: 4.20?
Hands down, the MOST BORING Superbowl since the 49ers whupped the Broncos way back when. It was so bad, I switched over to Puppy Bowl X on Animal Planet. This was one for the DOGS!
Yup,
Seattle smoked ’em.
It’s an insult to the teams that fought hard all year, only to be eliminated in the playoffs by Denver, that they would be handing out free Super Bowl rings to whatever team they faced. Should have just played another Seattle/SF battle.
On another note: in regards to the billions that the game generates, the NFL front office is still officially listed as a non-profit organization, and pays taxes, (not), accordingly.
Hey guys,
Just a dumb question here.
Since I know as much about football as I do about brain surgery, I noticed Mr. Manning wearing gloves for the whole game.
Wouldn’t he have been able to make better passes without them?
His teammates had complained that seeing his age spots in the huddle was demoralizing; hence the gloves.
He also forgot to say “Omaha” on the first play of the game, which is code for, “Don’t hike the ball over my head.”
I guess we know now which state has the stronger pot.
Judith:
Not a dumb question at all, particularly when you consider it was warmer in New Jersey at game time than it was in Denver or Seattle.
Manning is a southern boy who apparently has an aversion to cold weather. While he hotly denies it, he has not played well in cold weather in the past. I suspect he was wearing gloves because it was too cold for him. Quarterbacks have shown they can pass well wearing gloves, so I don’t think it had much of an impact on the game.
People say the game was boring, but that depends on your perspective. I had a bet on Seattle, so I found it immensely enjoyable. I also enjoyed Renee Fleming’s singing of the National Anthem, a true diva if ever there was one. It’s the best version I’ve heard since Jose Feliciano sang at the fifth game of the 1968 World Series.

Manning is a southern boy who doesn’t like the cold; he hasn’t performed well in cold weather games in the past, and experience shows that wearing gloves doesn’t make much difference in a quarterback’s ability to throw the ball. The game was a repeat of what’s happened in the past: The best defensive has won all five Super Bowls where it has faced the best offensive team.

Thank you Mr. Boardman,
The SSB was sung beautifully.
I like Bruno Mars too but I sure miss the marching bands of old, like the fabulous “Mighty Mizzou”.
I’m a relic.
It was ugly. Manning set a super bowl record for most completions, to bad 90% of them were intended for receivers 5 yards or less down field.
RL Crabb I left you a message on FB.
The game was so bad I stopped watching at about 4:20 and went and did something else!
The news today… the game was so lopsided because the Seahawks broke the Bronco hand signals. Seattle knew the play that was being run as soon as Denver did.
Absolutely legal under the rules, the only folks who were cheated were the viewers who just wanted to see a good football game, all Bronco fans and the advertisers whose millions got wasted because their ad ran towards the end.
