Brother, Can You Spare A Dime (for the meter?)

Nevada City recently announced their intention to be lenient to Christmas shoppers who run a little overtime in the parking department. This old cartoon reflects NC’s love/hate relationship with those pesky meters.

  1. I vote for slot meter. As they would say in Reno, it looks like slots o’ fun.

I second the slot meter option. Maybe we could get all those old nickel slots that went obsolete with the advent of the new “coinless” slots. We would not have to ticket cars for revenue anymore once the revenue from the slots started rolling in. We could advertise… Nevada City – loosest parking meters around!

  3. Agree with GeorgeB and BradC.
