   People are so busy documenting their lives and what’s going on around them, they’re not living their lives.

   I recently passed four boys waiting for the school bus. Each of them had his head down, looking at his smart phone, oblivious to the others. Hey guys, why don’t just try interacting with each other!

   Then there’s the cover of the current issue of Sports Illustrated, where we see American Pharoah crossing the finish line to win the Belmont Stakes and become the first triple crown winner in 37 years. How are the people reacting to this historic event? They’re not watching it, they’re taking pictures with their cell phones.

   That ain’t living!
